Abstract

Although Microsoft Power BI is a strong business intelligence tool, human review of its dashboards, reports & datasets might be tedious and useless. Power BI APIs let companies automate monitoring activities, therefore ensuring actual time insights on the system health, data refresh statuses & the report performance. By spotting issues like ineffective refreshes or slow report loading early on, this automation reduces human effort & increases the data accuracy. By means of API access, companies may create the customized alerts, compile usage data & examine the patterns to improve the Power BI functionality. Moreover, API-based monitoring guarantees prompt contact with the relevant teams by allowing simple connection with many corporate platforms as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email notifications. Tracking user access and seeing patterns in report consumption helps automation of monitoring to increase security. APIs help companies supervising huge scale Power BI deployments by enforcing the compliance rules & tracking data lineage, hence supporting governance. For IT managers, data analysts & business users alike, Power BI API automation assures data reliability, simplifies procedures & increases the productivity. Expanding analytics capabilities of companies depends on the automated monitoring via APIs to guarantee seamless operations & maximize the value of Power BI. This approach helps companies to give insights top priority over running costs, hence improving decision-making & the efficiency.
