Abstract

By letting customers use their iPhones to scan goods, make digital payments & leave the store without traditional checkout lines, scan-and-go technology is revolutionizing retail. This change is mostly driven by mobile apps, which provide a seamless, quick & the frictionless buying experience, therefore acting as the link between consumers & the retailers. These tools help businesses save labor prices, maximize retail operations & get vital consumer insights using data analytics they also helps to increase the convenience, lower wait times & improves general customer enjoyment. Their value is much improved by being able to include loyalty programs, custom discounts & actual time inventory control. Still, challenges include security concerns, acceptance of the digital payments & the provision of a cohesive user experience across many devices & the platforms. Notwithstanding these obstacles, the future of scan-and-go point-of-sale systems seems bright as innovations in AI, augmented reality & the Internet of Things are expected to improve & extend the technology. Mobile apps will impact the next generation of seamless, consumer-oriented retail experiences as they develop.
